Pranayama Course

We recommend having a light lunch at least 3 hours before the start time.

Pranayama is a natural progression and complement to the practice of yoga postures. These practices lead to a finer awareness of body, breath and mind. The fourth limb of Patanjali’s eight limbs of yoga, It is the link between the physical yoga practice and the contemplative practices of concentration and meditation.
The real challenge in yoga is not the mastery of the body in postures, it is the mastery of the fluctuations of the mind.

Instructor Jim Harrington has done yoga for fifteen years, studied in India, Thailand and gained his teaching certificate in Sydney, Australia. He holds qualifications in remedial and sports therapies and brings a deep anatomical understanding to his teaching.

Prerequisites:
Participants must already practice yoga postures on a regular basis.
